The 1955 has been in the family since 1967. Darrin’s parents, Fred and Camille bought this car as a grocery getter. The car has seen its share of modifications from race car motors, bucket seats, to pink with pink shag carpet to celebrate an anniversary.
July 4, 1999 the car was our get away car for our wedding. In 2005 the car needed some body work and the car was painted in its original colors according to the door plate. In 2015 the car came to live in our care. Darrin has slowly brought it back to its original state. It still has a ways to go.
October of 2024 the 55 was entered into the Driver Participation Class (DPC) for the 2024 Southeastern Fall Nationals. It was nominated for a National Award.
